This could be James Rodriguez’s debut for Everton
Tottenham and Everton meet in London this Sunday in one of the top fights of the opening weekend Premier League clash. Spurs had high expectations as Jose Mourinho entered his first full season with the club, while Everton were a team to watch out for after bringing in James Rodriguez to improve the midfield, along with Brazil international Allan.
Here’s how you watch the game and what you need to know:
Date: Sunday, September 13 | Time: 11:30 am ET
Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – London, England
TV: None | Live stream: Peacock
Probability: Tottenham -112; Image +240; Everton +340 (via William Hill Sportsbook)
Tottenham: Spurs haven’t done much in the summer, but that’s not a bad thing. This is a team with a strong base who didn’t get much time with last season through injury. Now full enough power, Jose Mourinho can try and bring stability to a club that hasn’t won a major trophy in years. Expect them to press, play the flanks using their speed and create enough chances to take all three points.
Everton: If Rodriguez starts you have to like their chances. His creativity on the ball and his ability on set pieces can work wonders. Carlo Ancelotti was linked with the Colombia international while coaching at Napoli and now has his player in England. If he can connect with Richarlison, be careful.
Harry Kane came to the rescue with a second-half goal to take all three points. Choose: Tottenham 2, Everton 1
